DevExpress.Wpf.Scheduling 26.1.5-pre-26241

DevExpress WPF: Scheduler

DevExpress.Wpf.Scheduling includes DevExpress WPF Scheduler controls: an Outlook-inspired scheduler and a companion resource tree component. The scheduler can obtain appointments and resources from view model collections and display them in seven view types. Users can create and reschedule appointments using drag-and-drop operations. Included controls adapt to the active DevExpress application theme.

dotnet add package DevExpress.Wpf.Scheduling

Included Components

  • SchedulerControl — a scheduling control that displays appointments in day, work week, week, month, timeline, agenda, and list views.
  • ResourceTreeControl — a companion control that lists scheduler resources and allows users to show or hide them.

Key Features

  • View Types: Day, work week, week, month, timeline, agenda, and list views.
  • Appointment Capabilities: Recurrence, all-day events, labels, statuses, locations, and reminders.
  • Resources: Assign appointments to resources, group the schedule by resource or by date, and share one appointment between multiple resources.
  • Interactive Editing: Users can create, move, resize, copy, and delete appointments through built-in appointment, recurrence, and reminder windows.
  • Time Regions and Time Rulers: Highlight working hours or unavailable intervals and display multiple time rulers side by side.
  • Time Zones: Display a schedule in one time zone while storing appointment times in another.
  • Filtering and On-Demand Loading: Specify appointment filters and fetch only the records the current view needs.
  • Printing: Preview and print schedules.

Examples

Example 1: Use Collection Data to Display a Weekly Schedule

<Window
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    xmlns:dxsch="http://schemas.devexpress.com/winfx/2008/xaml/scheduling">

    <dxsch:SchedulerControl>
        <!-- Views are nested directly in the control. -->
        <dxsch:WeekView />

        <dxsch:SchedulerControl.DataSource>
            <dxsch:DataSource AppointmentsSource="{Binding Appointments}">
                <!-- Mappings tell the scheduler which properties store appointment data. -->
                <dxsch:DataSource.AppointmentMappings>
                    <dxsch:AppointmentMappings Id="Id"
                                               Start="Start"
                                               End="End"
                                               AllDay="AllDay"
                                               Subject="Subject"
                                               Description="Description"
                                               RecurrenceInfo="RecurrenceInfo" />
                </dxsch:DataSource.AppointmentMappings>
            </dxsch:DataSource>
        </dxsch:SchedulerControl.DataSource>
    </dxsch:SchedulerControl>
</Window>

In this configuration, the scheduler behaves as follows:

  • Displays one week at a time
  • Draws a block for each record in the Appointments collection
  • Expands recurring appointments into individual occurrences

Example 2: Use Resources to Group Appointments

<Window
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    xmlns:dxsch="http://schemas.devexpress.com/winfx/2008/xaml/scheduling">

    <!-- GroupType splits the view into one column set per resource. -->
    <dxsch:SchedulerControl GroupType="Resource">
        <dxsch:DayView />

        <dxsch:SchedulerControl.DataSource>
            <dxsch:DataSource AppointmentsSource="{Binding Appointments}"
                              ResourcesSource="{Binding Rooms}">
                <dxsch:DataSource.AppointmentMappings>
                    <dxsch:AppointmentMappings Id="Id"
                                               Start="Start"
                                               End="End"
                                               Subject="Subject"
                                               ResourceId="RoomId" />
                </dxsch:DataSource.AppointmentMappings>
                <dxsch:DataSource.ResourceMappings>
                    <dxsch:ResourceMappings Id="Id" Caption="Name" />
                </dxsch:DataSource.ResourceMappings>
            </dxsch:DataSource>
        </dxsch:SchedulerControl.DataSource>
    </dxsch:SchedulerControl>
</Window>

The day view shows one column per room. Each appointment appears under the room specified by the RoomId value.
