DevExpress WPF Layout Control

DevExpress.Wpf.LayoutControl includes DevExpress WPF layout containers. These controls arrange child elements and their labels automatically, so a data entry form or dashboard maintains consistent alignment and spacing without a hand-built Grid.

Included Components

• LayoutControl: The main container. LayoutGroup nests groups, and LayoutItem pairs a Label with an editor. LabelPosition aligns labels across the group.
• DataLayoutControl: Generates a layout based on a bound object's properties. DataLayoutItem is a generated item.
• FlowLayoutControl: Arranges items in a row or column and wraps them when available space is insufficient.
• TileLayoutControl: Arranges items as tiles, as in a Windows-style start screen.
• DockLayoutControl: Docks child elements to container edges and stretches the last one.

In this configuration, the layout behaves as follows:

• Stacks three labeled editors vertically
• Aligns all three labels to the same width
• Allows users to rearrange items if customization mode is active

NOTE: DevExpress.Xpf.LayoutControl.LayoutGroup is not the same type as DevExpress.Xpf.Docking.LayoutGroup from the DevExpress.Wpf.Docking package. Reference the namespace that matches the control you use.
