DevExpress WPF Data Grid

DevExpress.Wpf.Grid.Core includes the DevExpress WPF Data Grid and related data-aware controls: Data Grid, Tree List, Tree View, and grid-based lookup editor. All controls ship with Visual Studio design-time customization support.

> **NOTE**: Install [DevExpress.Wpf.Grid.Printing](https://www.nuget.org/packages/DevExpress.Wpf.Grid.Printing) instead if you also need to print and export grid data, or [DevExpress.Wpf.Grid](https://www.nuget.org/packages/DevExpress.Wpf.Grid) to additionally obtain the Expression Editor. Both packages reference this package, so you do not need to install it separately.

Included Components

• GridControl — displays tabular data. TableView arranges records in rows and columns, and CardView displays one card per record.

• TreeListControl — displays records from a hierarchical or self-referential dataset (combines a tree view with grid columns).

• TreeViewControl — displays hierarchical data as a tree.

• LookUpEdit — a drop-down editor. The pop-up list is a Data Grid or a Tree List.

• Selection: RowSelectionBehavior implements a checkbox selection column.

• Data Shaping: Sort, group, and filter data, and calculate group and total summaries.

• Conditional Formatting: Highlight values that match appearance rules, or use color scales, data bars, and icon sets.

• Master-Detail: Display related data in nested views at any nesting level.

• Column Bands: BandedViewBehavior and BandGridColumnHeader arrange columns into multi-level bands.

• Drag and Drop: DataViewDragDropManager moves records within a control or between controls.

• Selection: RowSelectionBehavior implements a check-box selection column.

• Editing: DialogEditFormBehavior edits a record in a modal dialog.

• Large Data Sources: Virtual and server-mode data sources fetch only records the current view needs.

• Search and Navigation: The ShowSearchPanelMode property displays the search panel. DataNavigator adds record navigation UI. Built-in views support fixed/pinned rows and columns.

• Design-Time Support: The package includes Visual Studio design-time assemblies for all controls.

In this configuration, the grid behaves as follows:

• Displays one row per item in the Employees collection
• Stretches columns to fill the available width
• Lets users group data by dragging a column header to the group panel
