DevExpress WPF Property Grid

DevExpress.Wpf.PropertyGrid includes the DevExpress WPF Property Grid control. The PropertyGridControl displays public properties of a business object and generates an appropriate in-place editor for each one.

Key Features

• Automatic Editor Generation: Assign a business object to SelectedObject and the control creates a suitable editor for every property.
• Categories: Group properties into categories with CategoryDefinition, control category display with ShowCategories, and expand them automatically with ExpandCategoriesWhenSelectedObjectChanged.
• Explicit Property Definitions: Declare PropertyDefinition elements to specify which properties appear, their order, and their editors.
• Attribute Support: Use standard .NET and Data Annotation attributes to assign captions, categories, and validation rules in the model.
• Descriptions: Display a property description panel and specify its position with ShowDescriptionIn.
• Expandable Properties: Expand and collapse nested objects and collections.
• Tabbed Presentation: Split properties across tabs instead of a single flat list.
• Data Editors: Use the full range of DevExpress WPF editors as in-place editors.

In this configuration, the control behaves as follows:

• Displays three properties of the bound object and edits them in place
• Groups properties into categories
• Selects an editor based on each property's type
