DevExpress WPF: Map Control

DevExpress.Wpf.Map implements the DevExpress WPF Map control, a GIS-enabled control that displays raster and vector maps in your application. Load tiles from a commercial or open-source imagery service, overlay your own data as shapes and markers, and let users pan, zoom, search, and build routes. The control adapts to the active DevExpress application theme.

Key Features

• Image tile layers — display raster imagery from Bing Maps, Azure Maps, OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, MBTiles, and WMS providers.
• Vector Layers: Load shapes from shapefiles, KML, GeoJSON, GPX, SVG, and SQL geometry sources, or bind vector items to a collection.
• Map elements — place pushpins, dots, lines, polylines, polygons, ellipses, rectangles, paths, and custom elements on a map.
• Search, geocoding, and routing — call Bing Maps and Azure Maps services to find places, resolve addresses, calculate routes, and build isochrones.
• Clustering — group nearby items to keep dense maps readable.
• Colorizers and heatmaps — shade shapes by value to build choropleth maps, and render point density as a heatmap.
• Coordinate systems and projections — display geographic or Cartesian data, with Mercator, Miller, Equirectangular, and other projections.
• Map editor — allow end users to draw and modify vector items at runtime.

Example 1: Display an OpenStreetMap-Backed Map

The map downloads OpenStreetMap tiles, centers the view on New York City, and allows users to pan and zoom.

The vector layer places two labeled pushpins above the imagery. Both markers remain at the same geographic locations when a user pans or zooms the map.
