DevExpress WPF: Document Viewer Core Library

DevExpress.Wpf.DocumentViewer.Core implements the DocumentViewerControl. This is the base control that displays a paged document in a DevExpress WPF application. The control provides a virtualized page surface, zoom and rotation model, page navigation and view history, search bar, document map, and ready-to-use Toolbar and Ribbon command sets.DevExpress WPF PDF Viewer and Document Preview controls derive from the DocumentViewerControl.

Key Features

• Base Viewer Control: DocumentViewerControl includes basic document and viewport management properties (DocumentSource, Document, PageCount, CurrentPageNumber, ZoomFactor, ZoomMode, PageRotation) and events (DocumentChanged, ZoomChanged, PageRotationChanged, CurrentPageNumberChanged).

• View History: UndoRedoManager and NavigationState record previous view positions and allow users to navigate backward and forward.

• Zoom and Rotation: BehaviorProvider and ZoomHelper maintain zoom, rotation, and page index state. ZoomMode supports Custom, ActualSize, FitToWidth, FitToVisible, and PageLevel values.

• View History: UndoRedoManager and NavigationState record previous view positions and allow users to move back and forward.

• Command Bars: The CommandProvider and the CommandBarStyle property (None, Bars, or Ribbon) generate a toolbar or ribbon with page navigation, zoom, rotation, search, and document commands. DocumentViewerRibbonController allows you to customize this UI.

• Document Contract: IDocument, IPage, and IDocumentViewerControl interfaces allow document formats to integrate with the viewer.

• Document Map: DocumentMapControl and DocumentMapSettings display document bookmarks and let users navigate to them.

• Search: SearchControlContainer hosts the find-in-document UI. TextSearchParameter and TextSearchDirection specify search options.

• Document Contract: IDocument, IPage, and IDocumentViewerControl interfaces allow a document format to plug into the viewer.

• Input Handling: KeyboardAndMouseController, TouchController, and DXScrollViewer process keyboard, mouse, and touch input.

• Theming and Localization: DocumentViewerThemeKeyExtension applies the active DevExpress theme to viewer elements, and DocumentViewerLocalizer localizes viewer strings.
